Craftsmanship

I work with my hands out of a lifelong desire to build things....almost anything. I've built or restored homes, aircraft, motorcycles, tools, trinkets, etc. If I don't have a project for a customer then I busy myself creating whatever my mind can conceive. Its always been this way for me. A deep need to build skills and avoid boredom. Custom furniture began after building our first house and wanting to fill it with useful things made by hand. Most of this work is completed with hand tools simply because I enjoy this process and believe that it generates a more real and honest product. This flies in the face of a culture that has embraced a throw away mentality and I refuse to sweat over an object that is destined for the rubbish heap. My furniture is generational and meant to be passed down.

I believe that we were created in the image of a Creative God and as such were given the ability and desire to create as well.
